Abstract
Considering the currently existed weaknesses of low penetration rate and narrow applicability of hot pressed diamond bit during the drilling process, the application of coarse aggregated diamond has been illustrated in this paper. In-depth analyses have been performed from the aggregation technology of coarse diamond to the rock crushing characteristics of the coarse aggregated diamond. Indoor drilling tests in medium-to-fine grain dense granite with nine-level drillability for the developed bit with coarse aggregated diamond were carried out. The penetration rate of 2. 59 m/h was obtained, which is 24% higher than that of the normal diamond bit. The result indicates that the bad applicability of normal diamond bit to different rock formations can be conquered by using the developed aggregation technology, which has both research value and application prospects.关键词
