Abstract
The cosmic rays response and correction factors of gamma radiation dose rate meter can be ascertained by intercomparison measurements of the cosmic rays response using two gamma radiation dose rate meters (one measured and the other not) against natural radioactivity background. RSS-131 high pressure ionization chamber made by General Electric Co. was used as magnitude transmitter, and carried out the indirect calibration of the cosmic rays response and correction factors to both BH3103B portable X-~/radiation dose rate meter and 6150 scintillator detector. Compared with the testing results of Guangdong Provincial Radiation Dose Measurement Proving Station, the relative deviations of their correction factors were -2% and 0% respectively. Moreover, in comparison with the dose rate measured values in the air absorption of cosmic rays taken place at Wanlu lake, the relative deviation of their cosmic rays response were -3.6% and 3.1%.
