Abstract
Taking Chancheng district as the research object and the classifications of the land in this district, we analyzed and compared the spatial grain effects on the landscape patterns in the old urban area, Chancheng district and Nanzhuang town of Foshan city from the perspectives of the landscape- level and the class-level to provide a theoretical foundation for the landscape index calculation and the scale shifts to select suitable grain size. It is indicated that the landscape index has grain effects. Seen from the landscape-level, the appropriate spatial resolutions for the old urban area, Chancheng district are 5,20~40, 120~140 m, old urban area are 10, 20＂~40, 120~140 m, Nanzhuang town are 5 are 70,110 m respectively while from the class-level, the corresponding numbers are 10 or 120＂- 140 m, for both the old urban area and Chancheng district and 10, 20 or 120~--150 for Nanzhuang town.关键词
