摘要

Abstract

By means of an image acquiring device designed by authors to take the images of on-machine tool, the paper introduces the software system research on quantitative measurement of tool wear, mainly includes the software module constitution, software method, and the software integration of image acquiring and processing. The system can be used to detect tool's multi-blade or multi-surface wear, particularly rotating tools such as end milling cutters, calculate the wear value, and give an alarm when the wear value goes beyond the normal one.
