Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect psychological nursing on coordination of gastric tube insertion in emergency patients taking poisons,and provide reference for clinical practice.Methods 120 patients taking poison who had been hospitalized during November 2005 to October 2011 were randomly divided into study group and control group,60 for each group.All the patients underwent gastric lavage by nasogastric tube insertion.The study group received psychological nursing at the time of tube insertion.The difference in coordination of tube insertion was compared between the two groups.Results Time to insertion of gastric tube differed significantly between the control group and the study group [( 3.17 ± 0.47 ) min vs.( 2.21 ± 0.35 ) min,P ＜ 0.05].There was significant difference in the single success rate of gastric tube insertion between the control group and the study group (44 vs 53, P＜0.05 ).Conclusions Psychological nursing can improve corrdination of gastric tube insertion in emergency patients taking poisons and win valuable time for saving life.It is worth popularizing.关键词
