Optimization of extraction technology of total flavones from papaya leaves by orthogonal design

Abstract

To make use of papaya leaves, the extract process of total flavones of papaya leaves was optimized by ultrasonic wave extraction method. The single-factor method orthogonal design was used to test the effect of ethanol concentration, the ratio of solid to liquid, extraction temperature and extraction time on the extraction rate of total flavones from papaya leaves. The resuhs showed that the optimum extraction condition was as follows: ethanol concentration was 70%, the ratio of solid to liquid was 1 : 40 (g/mL), extraction temperature was 70℃ and extraction time was 70min. Total flavones extracting ratio was 2.50% under the optimum extraction technology. The extraction rate of it is high and the stability is good by the extract process. It may provide the reference for comprehensive utilization of papaya leaves.
