摘要

Abstract

The modified phenolic foams were obtained by blending with the modifiers CuCl2,FeCl2,or MgCl2,and then were carbonated and activated.In this study,the physical and chemical surface characteristics of the modified phenolic foams were investigated.Futhermore,the efficiency of desulfurization and denitrification was studied.The results indicated that,for the sample modified by CuCl2,the mesopore volume was 10 times compared to the samples modified by FeCl2,MgCl2.The specific surface area and the volume of the mesopores in the modified phenolic foams were CFCu CF0 CFFe CFMg.Metals in phenolic carbon foam were present as metal and metallic oxide,and surface functional groups of carbon foam were not changed with the addition of CuCl2,FeCl2,MgCl2.Compared to unmodified phenolic carbon foam,the desulfurization efficiencies of the phenolic carbon foam modified by CuCl2,FeCl2,MgCl2,increased by 39%,11%,13%,respectively;the denitrification efficiencies increased by 19%,10%,4%,respectively.The phenolic carbon foam modified by CuCl2 had the highest desulfurization and denitrification efficiencies.
