摘要

Abstract

The influence of thrust vector jet vanes (TVJV) control on missile maneuver at high angles of attack and control characteristics is studied in aerodynamic view, using qualitative and quantitative methods on typical conditions. The result indicates that TVJV control has a significant effect on missile turn angular rate, longitudinal and roll control capability. The influence of jet vanes on control moment under different flight conditions and angles of attack is also indicated. The reason why air-to-air missiles use jet vanes to thrust vector control is shown according to roll control analysis. Other influences of jet vanes on missile capability are also discussed.
