Impact of fault clearing time on shaft torque amplification in multi-mode sub-synchronous resonance
摘要
Abstract
For shaft torque amplification in multi-mode sub-synchronous resonance. A methodology considering shaft torque as the torsional system response of applied force is given. The maximum shaft torque is finally deduced as an analytic function of fault clearing time using a simplified four- DOF model. The results show that the natural oscillation frequencies of the shaft inspired by the disturbance are in the form of torsional vibration cosine, and that fault clearing at even numbers of half cycles of one torsional mode will generally provide appropriate torques. PSCAD/EMTDC simulation results demonstrate the validity of the conclusion.关键词
