摘要

Abstract

This paper presents a frequency meter that using EP2C8Q208C8 devices of Cyclonell series produced by Al-tera Corporation as the core to achieve high-precision counting. This frequency meter, applying SOPC technology to operate floating-point data on NIOS II soft core processor, improves the traditional equal precision measurement. The circuit adopts modular design so the system has a high measurement precision, and the range of measuring frequency is from lHz to 10MHz. In addition, the design, with a good readability, has a liquid crystal display to realise real-time display of measured frequency.
