DESIGN OF A MOBILE SEARCH ENGINE AND ITS IMPLEMENTATION

Abstract
According to current status of mobile search engine, by adding a mobile module to existing frameworks of internet search engine, we propose an approach for establishing mobile search engine using HTML resources. Through the integrated processing of HTML pages fetched by the webspider and translating these pages into snapshot of webpage in the form of WML, the method can satisfy the requirements of users in mobile search. In its practical application, a mobile search engine oriented towards the life and services has been successfully established with this approach, which covers in nearly 40 Chinese cities the search services of catering, entertainment and yellow pages information.关键词
