摘要

Abstract

Based on ArcGIS' s WebGIS, Shantou Environmental Protection Agency has constructed its pollution source management system. In its environmental planning and pollution source controlling work, the agency often requires interactive buffer analysis. Firstly the strengths of Flash based WebGIS is introduced; next Shantou EPA' s pollution source management system architecture is elaborated, which includes the structures of pollution source importing, non-geographical-relative table operations and the geographical information system. Then three steps are expounded to implement buffer analysis with ArcGIS API for Flex: use DrawTool to dynamically draw geographic objects which are taken as input parameters for buffer analysis; use GeometryService for buffer computation; and query point pollution sources within the computation results.
