Abstract
Objective To evaluate the treatment of intravenous gamma globulins in infants with capillary bronchitis to prevent repeated wheezing attacks. Methods Fifty - eight infants with capillary bronchiolitis were randomly divided into control group and treatment group. Follow - up was conducted from three to five years to observe the repeated wheezing attacks. Results After treatment, the eosinophilic granulocytes of the two groups decreased to varying degrees. Compared with the control group, the frequency of wheezing attacks in the treatment group reduced. The difference was statistically significant (P = 0. 024). Two groups showed no significant difference in terms of asthmatic alleviation and rales disappearing. The disappearing time of rales was earlier in the treatment group than the control group (P = 0.004). Conclusion Intravenous gamma globulins can reduce the frequency of repeated wheezing attacks but it does not relieve wheezing symptoms obviously. However it helps shorten the disappearing time of lung rales.关键词
