Abstract
Objective To evaluate the effect of two kinds of airway humidification methods during mechanical ventilation. Methods One hundred patients with endotracheal intubation and mechanical ventilation were randomly divided into experiment group and control group. The experiment group was humidified by heating water vapor, aerosol inhalation, timing and quantitative in-tratracheal dripping of humidification liquid, sputum drainage and regular fiberoptic bronchoscopy for airway humidification. The control group received heating water vapor, aerosol inhalation, timing and quantitative intratracheal, tracheal instillation of 3 to 5 mL humidification liquid after suc-tioning. Then the effect of 2 kinds of airway humidification methods applied to mechanical ventilation patients was observed and evaluated. Results Compared with the control group, the experiment group could effectively prevent and reduce formation of phlegm scab, airway injury, and avoid pulmonary complications, such as infection. There was a statistically significant difference between the two groups (P<0.01). Conclusion It is safe, convenient and effective to humidify airway by heating water vapor, aerosol inhalation, timing and quantitative intratracheal dripping of humidification fluid, sputum drainage and regular fiberoptic bronchoscopy for airway humidification. It can effectively reduce pulmonary complications, relieve patients' pain and improve work efficiency.关键词
