Abstract
Objective To investigate the relationship of ankle - brachial index(ABI) and urinary albumin (U -mAlb) with homocysteine (Hey) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Methods A total of 90 type 2 diabetes mellitus patients were divided into high Hey group (n =48, Hcy>10.5 μmol/L) and low Hey group (n =42, Hcy≤l0.5 μmol/L) according to serum homocysteine. ABI and U- mAlb were examined at the same time. Results ABI in high Hcy group was significantly lower than the low Hey group (P < 0.05). Hey and ABI were negatively correlated. On the contrary, U-mAlb was higher in high Hey group than in low Hey (P< 0.01). Conclusion In type 2 diabetes mellitus patients, Hey is closely related with diabetic microangiopathy and diabetic vascular disease.关键词
