Establishment and application of the normal reference values of organ masses and organ/body coefficients in SD rats
摘要
Abstract
Objective To establish the normal reference values of the mass and coefficients of main organs of SD rats in order to provide important background data for National Beijing Center for Drug Safety Evaluation and Research ( NBCDS-ER ). Method This study involved 1200 SD rats from the control groups of the repeated dosing toxicity tests conducted at NBCDSER in the past seven years, aged 8 to 12, 12 to 24 and 24 to 36 weeks, with males and females in half. The mass and coefficients of the brain, heart, lung, liver, spleen, kidney, adrenal gland, thymus, testis, epididymis, ovary and uterus were statistically analyzed. The normal reference values were set at x ± 1. 96SD. Results and Conclusion The nor-mal reference values of organ masses and coefficients in SD rats in NBCDSER are comparable to the data from other labora-tories in China.关键词
