Abstract
High-speed railway system and the conventional railway system are of huge differences both in technical and economic characteristics (which is considered as main standard to divide transportation modes) . Thus, within arailway system, they can be treated as two modes. However, the passenger dedicated function of high-speed railway in China together with the similarity both in equipment and organization between the two modes determines the complicated competition and cooperation relationship between the two railways. By introducing the compound cooperation and competition model, and combining qualitative and quantitative analyses, the mechanism that the two railway systems interacted was given. By a case study and its results analysis some suggestions about the capacity allocation and coordination between the two railways were put forward.关键词
