摘要
Abstract
Surgical management in the pterygopalatine fossa region presents anatomic and surgical problems related to the difficulty of access. When a tumor in the pterygopalaline fossa involves the maxilla and extends into the maxillary sinus, and a tumor in the deep lobe of the parotid gland extends into the pterygopalatine fossa, extensive resection is often necessary. With the advancements in imageology, diagnostic technology, diagnostic pathology, surgical technology and instrumentation, reconstructive techniques, the surgery of the lateral cranial base or the middle cranial base is now receiving significant attention progress, and interest. The objective of the paper was to provide an overview of contemporary strategies for the management of tumors in the pterygopalatine fossa and adjacent structures.关键词
