Abstract
[Abstract] Objective: To evaluate the clinical effects of additional buccal incision suture in the management of high vertical impacted wisdom teeth extraction wounds. Methods: A retrospectively case series review of 240 patients. Croup A (n=120), extraction wounds were closed by additional buccal incision suture; group B (n=120), extraction wounds were closed by traditional interrupted suture. The postoperative complications were calculated and compared. Statistical analysis were performed with SPSS 13.0 software. Comparison between groups were done by the Student t test. A value of P<0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: Postoperative complications such as hemorrhage and dry socket were less seen in group A. Traumatic facial edema and trismus showed no significant difference between the two groups. Conclusion: Additional buccal incision suture may be more beneficial to high vertical impacted wisdom teeth patients.关键词
