Abstract
Objective The aim of this study was to discuss the operate method and clinic effects by using double plates via osteotomy of olecranon for treatment of intercondylar fractures of the distal humerus. Methods 27 cases of intercondylar fractures of the distal humerus patients were treated with double plates via osteotomy of olecranon. Analysis on the following aspects: preoperative healed time, clinical effects and complications. Results All fractures were followed up from 6 months to 24 months. All cases were healing up from 4 months to 6 months, 1 case got infection after 1 week. 2 cases got Myositis ossificans. No case was hurt with ulnar nerve in operation, no plate or screw were broken. According to Cassebaum scores: 8 patients had an excellent and 14 had good outcome, 3 patients had a fair outcome and 2 patients had a poor result. Conclutions Internal fixation with double plates via osteotomy of olecranon is an effective and safe method to treat intercondylar fractures of the distal humerus. It can provide fully exposure and enough stable fixation for the fractures.关键词
