Abstract
The effects of the inclining angle of the volute tongue and the blade-tongue clearance on the aerodynamic performance and noise characteristics of an industrial centrifugal fan with forward-curved (FC) blades were investigated experimentally. The results show that the noise of the fan is decreased with an increase in the inclining angle and the blade-tongue clearance, and the aerodynamic performance also depends on them. Seven kinds of inclined volute tongue were designed to try according to the combination of three inclining angles and three clearances. The measurement methods of aerodynamic performance and noise for fans complied with China Standards CB/T 1236-2000: Industrial fans performance testing using standardized airways and CB/T 2888-91; Methods of noise measurement for fans, blowers, compressors and roots blowers.关键词
