Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of health education through motivational interviewing on compliance behavior of patients after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), and to provide the basis for guiding the life style of patients after PCI. Methods A total of 300 patients after PCI were divided into control group (n=150) and experimental group (n = 150). In control group, patients received conventional health education, while in experimental group, a developed motivational interviewing was conducted among patients. The interviewing focused on changes of patients' medication compliance, exercise adherence, smoking cessation and alcohol limiting. Measures would be taken for patients once there found existing problems from interviewing. Results Significant differences about medication compliance, exercise adherence, smoking cessation, alcohol limiting and other indicators were found among patients from both groups 1 month and 3 months after discharge (P<0.05). Conclusion Motivational interviewing is effective for improving the compliance behavior of patients after PCI.关键词
