Abstract
Patriotic education is the important content of ideological and political education work. Deng Xiaoping paid much more attention to the patriotic education in the long-term practice of revolution and socialist construction. In new period, he put Marxist basic principles together with Chinese socialism modernization practice and patriotism education throughout his whole work. He made great historical contribution to the new period： establishing an important status of patriotic education work; puting forward the basic requirements of patriotic education job; explaining the main contents of patriotic education ; affirming the objects of the patriotic education ; exploring the effective method of patriotic education.关键词
