Abstract
The polyimide was synthesized from asymmetrical monomer 3,4'-oxydianiline (3,4'-ODA) ,4, 4'-Oxydianiline(ODA) and pyromellitic dianhydride( PMDA) by one-step procedure, to investigate the effect of structure symmetry on the properties of polyimides (PI). The properties of polyimides were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy ( FT-IR ) , thermomechanical analysis ( TMA), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and universal tester. Results showed that asymmetry enhanced the solubility in organic solvents, reduced the glass transition temperature to 314 ℃, the tensile strength to 91. 33 Mpa,and elastic modulus to 1536 Mpa. Thus, mechanical properties of PI were improved.关键词
