Abstract
＂Landscape＂ is a symbolic expression with time dimension under the influence of the historical progress.The dimension of time affects not only the landscape projects but also the changes in geographical materials,and it shapes the pattern and cultural connotation of landscape.Beginning with the basic concepts of time dimension and based on the three levels of it： appearance（material change）,perception（spatial experience） and culture（historical progress）,this paper explores the significance and impact of time in landscape design.关键词
