Abstract
This paper presents an analysis of the influence of the physical separation of left-behind senior high school students from their migrant parents on the mental health status of them by adopting a mental health test (MHT) on some left-behind senior high school students and some non-left-behind ones. Research results are: First, the mental health level of left-behind senior high school students underperforms that of their non-left-behind counterparts. Second, the mental health level of left-behind female senior high school students underperforms that of their male counterparts, and besides, no conspicuous disparity is observed between the mental health level of first-year left'behind senior high school students and that of the second-year, with the former being relatively weaker than the latter in their degrees of learning anxiety, impulsive tendencies, and sensitivity. Third, the mental health level of left-behind senior high school students whose parents are both out underperforms the mental health level of those only the fathers of whom are out but is no markedly different from those only the mothers of whom are out.关键词
