The Fiber Weave Network Pattern Effects to the Shrinkage Temperature of the Animal Skin

Abstract
Shrinkage temperature is a characteristic parameter to collagen stability. In the paper, the shrinkage temperatures of goat skin and pig skin at different areas were measured. The values were made a relation with the fiber weave network pattern of the skin by histological observations. The results showed that the shrinkage temperature values are different among the areas of animal skin. When the two areas of the skin has different fiber bundle weave network pattern, the larger the difference is, the bigger the value difference of shrinkage temperature will be. The area with denser fiber network shows a higher shrinkage temperature value.关键词
