Abstract
The paper presents the experimental investigation of laser triggered gas switch on Qiangguang- I accelerator. In the experiments, the laser was transmitted along the axes of the water line through the diode. The results of self-breakdown experiments and trigger experiments are presented and analyzed. At the undervoltage ratio of 88. 3% , the average delay of the laser triggered gas switch is 34. 2 ns, and the time jitter is less than 3. 86 ns, when the maximal operating voltage is 2 MV and the maximal current is over 600 kA. The problems occurring during experiments are summarized and analyzed, and corresponding improvement measures are proposed.关键词
