Flow structure and performance of constant-area, supersonic-supersonic ejector

Abstract
A constant-area, supersonic-supersonic ejector has been investigated with schlieren photography and pressure measurement- The operation states of the ejector are classified into two groups, according to the flow conditions of the secondary flow in the entrance part of the mixing chamber: one is "non-saturated supersonic-supersonic ejection" and the other is "saturated supersonic-supersonic ejection". The shock waves, generated in the secondary flow at the vicinity of the mixing chamber inlet, enhance the pressure matching performance of ejector. For a given primary-to-secondary mass flow rate, the compression ratio of the ejector decreases as the secondary Mach number increases, while the pressure recovery performance is only weakly dependent on the primary Mach number.关键词
