摘要

Abstract

This paper studied the degradation of 8-hydroxyquinoline wastewater adopting two stages of aerobic treatment by combining ultrasonic and biochemical processes. The ultrasonic degradation was adopted for wastewater pretreatment. The effects on pretreatment of the factors such as initial liquid concentration, the ultrasound time, the time lasted of the whole ultrasound process and the amplitude transformer diameter of ultrasonic cells crusher. The experimental results showed that the maximal degradation rate occurred at the conditions of 25 mm for transformer diameter, 0. 6 g/1 for the initial concentration, 20 minutes for ultrasound time and 2 seconds for the time lasted of the whole ultrasound process, of which the CODer removal rate reached 40. 4%. It used ordinary activated sludge (two stages of aerobic process) as biochemical treatment. For the primary and the secondary aerobic reactors the retention times were operated at 10 and 6 hours to obtained removal rates of 69. 4% and 71.7%, respectively. By adopting combination of ultrasonic and biochemical processes (two stages of aerobic treatment ) to treat 8-hydroxyquinoline wastcwater, a good result of CODcr removal rate up to 94. 4% was obtained.
