摘要
Abstract
Objective; To explore the effect of chemotherapy on serum testosterone levels, anemia, and the relationship between serum testosterone and anemia indicators. Methods; RIA was used to detect the level of serum testosterone(T) in 54 male lung cancer patients before and after chemotherapy. Automatic ceU analyzer was used to detect hemoglobin (Hb) and red blood ceU(RBC) levels before and after chemotherapy. Results; (1) Before chemotherapy, 30 patients(55. 56% ) got anemia while 41 cases got anemia after chemotherapy(75. 93% ) . The overall incidence of anemia after chemotherapy was higher than that before chemotherapy ( P < 0. 05)with statistical difference. (2)The average level of RBC and HB after chemotherapy decreased significantly compared with that before chemotherapy(3. 31 ±0.63) X 1012/L and( 107. 83 ±25. 80)g/L, respectively (P <0. 05) . (3)The average level of T of all the patients was ( 2. 98 ± 0. 90) ng/ml before chemotherapy which was slightly lower than the normal reference value; After chemotherapy, the average level of Twas(2. 55 ±0. 78) ng/ml which decreased significantly compared with that before chemotherapy (P <0. 05) . (4) Before chemotherapy, the average level of T in lung cancer patients with anemia was significantly lower that that in patients without anemia (P <0. 05) . The same kind of tendency was observed after chemotherapy with the P <0. 05 . (5) Before and after chemotherapy, the serum testosterone level and hemoglobin, RBC levels were significantly positively related. Conclusion; The average level of hemoglobin, red blood cells and serum testosterone of male lung cancer patients decreased after chemotherapy and with the increased incidence of anemia. Lung cancer accompanied by anemia is positively related with decreased serum testosterone level.关键词
