Abstract

Objective: To observe the effects of different processed products of "Sanxian" on gastrointestinal motility in mice. Methods: Atropine sulfate and dopamine were used respectively to create two gastrointestinal dynamics models on mice. The rest ratio of stomach and small intestine motional rate were selected as the observing indexes. After the injection of semisolid, the observing indexes were recorded. Results: In atropine sulfate model, the small intestine motional rate in experimental group were higher than that in control (P<0. 05) at high and middle doses of unprocessed "Sanxian" , the other groups showed improvement trend. The rest ratio of stomach in experimental group were lower than that in control (P<0.05) at middle doses of unprocessed "Sanxian" and middle, low doses of processed "Sanxian". In dopamine model, unprocessed "Sanxian", processed "Sanxian", and "Jiao Sanxian" might contribute to the small intestinal vermiculation and gastric emptying, but there was no significant difference between the two groups (P<0. 05). Conclusion: In atropine sulfate model, different processed products "Sanxian" can improve the small intestinal vermiculation and gastric emptying of mice, but the effects are different, the unprocessed "Sanxian" of which has the better effect. In dopamine model, different processed products of "Sanxian" can not improve the gastrointestinal motility of mice.
