摘要

Abstract

According to the related researches at home and abroad, the bloom on the cucumber surface and its formation mechanism, influencing factors and the effect of grafting on bloom formation were summarized in this paper. The bloom on cucumber fruit surface is a spheroid covered with a layer of silicon and formed by 4 ~ 8 cells without cell nuclear. Silicon participates in the process of bloom formation. The existence or nonex-istence and the amount of bloom are controlled by a major gene, and some associated modifier genes may exist either. The formation of bloom can be affected by grafting and environmental factors significantly, such as temperature , humidity, light and so on. The formation of bloom on grafted cucumber can be affected by rootstock through altering the characteristics of silicon absorption.
