Effects of ERK-1/2 on the modulation of delayed rectifier potassium current activation kinesics by N/OFQ in acutely dissociated rat cerebral parietal cortical neurons

Abstract
Objective To investigate the effects of ERK-1/2 on modulation of delayed rectifier potassium current (IK) activation kinesics by N/OFQ in acutely dissociated rat cerebral parietal cortical neurons. Method Whole-cell volt-age clamp technique was used. Result In presence of U0126, inhibitor of ERK-1/2, 0. 1 μmol/L N/OFQ shifted the ac-tivation curve of IK to hyperpolarize potential from ( -42 ± 3.7) mV to ( -39.9 ± 5.9) mV (P<0.01) and changed the slope factor ( κ) of the activation curve from (21.6 ± 8.1) mV to (22. 9 ± 3. 8) mV (P <0.05). Conclusion These data sustained our contention that U0126 inhibited the positive shift of IK activation induced by N/OFQ.关键词
