摘要

Abstract

Based on two design specifications for concrete gravity dam of DL 5108-1999 and SL 319-2005, some issues on concrete gravity dam design are discussed herein. The studies show that: (a) the apex position of primary section of non-overflow gravity dam should be determined by the optimal design of primary section after combining with the choices of upstream and downstream dam slope and considering the factors of security and economy; (b) the definition of jet trajectory distance in DL 5108-1999 is more reasonable than that in SL 319-2005, but the calculation formulae are debatable; (c)the values of partial factors should be determined reasonably for the application of limit state design method of partial factor in concrete gravity dam design; (d) if concrete grade of strength is demanded to replace concrete mark as the strength index of dam concrete, the conversion relationship between them must be built firstly.
