Abstract
Objective:To explore the relationship between serum adiponectin, insulin resistance and macrovascular disease in nondiabetic first-degree re(a)lative of type 2 diabetic mellitus(NFDR). Methods:Blood pressure, fasting plasma glucose(FPG), lipids, fasting serum insulin(FINs) and asiponectin were detected in NFDR with plaque and without plaque and health control subjects. Results :The levels of HDL-C and adiponectin in NFDR with plaque and without plaque were significantly lower than those in health control group, while blood pressure. FPG, TG, HOMA-IR in NFDR with plaque and without plaque were significantly higher than those in health control group. The level of adiponectin in NFDR with plaque group was lower than that in NFDR without plaque group. Adiponectin was correlated positively with HDL-C, and correlated negatively with blood pressure, TG, FINs, HOMA-IR. Conclusion:The levels of serum adiponectin may play an important role in the development of insulin resistance and macrovascular disease in nondiabetic first-degree relatives of type 2 diabete mellitus.关键词
