Nonlinear finite element analysis on mechanical behavior of concrete-filled rectangular steel tubular column

Abstract
In order to study the mechanical behavior of concrete-filled rectangular steel tubular columns, an unit mode with eight degrees of freedom (DOF) and three nodes, applicable to any kind of sectional shape, was proposed based on the past experimental and theoritical researches. In combination with the constitutive relation between concrete and steel, a nonlinear finite element model was established, and was used for the calculation analysis on force schemes with monotonic and repeated loading. The concrete-filled rectangular steel tubular specimens under various force modes such as pure bending, concentric compression, eccentric compression and low-cycle repeated loads were calculated. It is found through comparison that the calculated results are consistent with the experimental ones. It proves that the proposed nonlinear finite analysis method can better simulate the force and deformation behaviors of concrete-filled rectangular steel tubular.关键词
