Distribution Systems Power Flow Calculation Based on Loop-impedance Equations and Simulation Visualization

Abstract
A novel method of the power flow calculation and simulation information visualization was proposed for simulating quickly and vividly the operation status of distribution systems. On the basis of the orthogonal list and incidence matrix, an impedance matrix formation algorithm was not only designed to automatically calculate every matrix elements, but also each branch current and each internal node voltage were computed with arbitrary sequence; a parallel Gaussian elimination algorithm based on right-looking lower-upper (LU) factorization was put forward, in order to accelerate the complex coefficient loop-impedance equations solving by graphic processing unit ( GPU); geographic information system(GIS) and virtual reality technologies wereused to visualize the result of power flow calculation. Simulation examples show this method hasn' t special requirement for the node numbering scheme and is suitable for power flow calculation of the radial and the meshed distribution networks for its rapid computation, high precision, visual and intuitive display about simulation result.关键词
