Study on connotation and evaluation index system for support system of urban eco-sustainability

Abstract
The construction of the evaluation model of support system of urban eco-sustainability with the overall evaluation of its development levels, is the key process to take the basic and theoretic study of urban eco-sustainability into the practical application. Based on the analysis of the basic connotation of urban eco-sustainability, the study explores to construct the support system of urban eco-sustainability by embedding the Carrying capacity-Supporting capability-Attractive capability-Evolutional capability-Developing capability (CSAED) model within a multi-level framework. According to the above theory and model, a case study of Pan-CZT city cluster is utilized to discuss the basic situation and development orientation in the effective improvement of eco-environment, intensive utilization of resource-energy, harmonious progress of social livelihood, high-efficiency and equal growth of economy, comprehensive promotion of population quality and regulation and perfection of policy and system in the urban agglomeration region, to maintain urban eco-sustainability efficiently. The results showed that the effective improvement of eco-environment is limited and efficient utilization of energy resource is general low, suggesting that it is appropriate and necessary to expand urban ecological and environmental capacity; development level of high efficient and equal growth of economy is relatively low, signifying that optimizing industrial structure and employment environment can tackle the challenges properly; promotional ability of social livelihood is insufficient, indicating that promoting public service and citizens' welfare is the key solution to guarantee urban eco-sustainability efficiently.关键词
