摘要

Abstract

Supercritical carbon dioxide drilling technology is a new drilling technology developed over the last decade. Compared with conventional drilling, it has a higher rate of penetration, lower threshold pressure of breaking rock, is capable of hole cleaning, therefore has received much attention from home and foreign experts. This paper analyzes the physical properties of supercritical CO2 fluid, demonstrates the characteristics and advantages of supercritical CO2 drilling from different perspectives, and finally, in combination with the future trend of oil exploration and development in China, scrutinizes the technical features of supercritical CO2 drilling with coiled tubing, for slim hole and micro - hole, and for short radius horizontal well and radial horizontal well. These techniques will become a predominant drilling technology for special oil and gas reservoirs in China, and present an important development trend of drilling technology.
