Research Advances of Cathode Materials in Electro-Fenton-like System
摘要
Abstract
Electro-Fenton is a new electrochemical advanced oxidation technology. In the cathode chamber, dissolved O2 could be reduced in situ into H2O2 or HzOj be promoted into ? OH; thereby enhancing the efficiency of traditional Fenton (H2O2/Fe-+ ) oxidation system for degradation of organic pollutions. In the electro-Fenton-like system, an ideal cathode material should own two characteristics: the electrode materials have a greater surface area to increase the mass transfer of oxygen to the electrode surface and the contact area; the electrode has good catalytic activity of reduction of O2 into H2O2 , and could inhibit the reduction of H+ into H2. Therefore, the research of a suitable cathode material is the key in the electro-Fenton-like system. This paper summarizes the basic principle and research development of electro-Fenton-like advanced oxidation technique, focuses on electrocatalytic properties and the latest research status of cathode materials in electro-Fenton-like system, and also summarizes its current research trends. 45 references have been cited.关键词
