Abstract
When the cross-correlation of short training series (STS) is adopted to realize symbol synchronization in burst orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems, there is a large amount of self-correlation and cross-correlation calculation of STS to be needed. In this paper, a low-complexity improved symbol synchronization algorithm based on the self-correlation of STS is proposed. The simulation results show that bit error rate performance of the algorithm under Rayleigh fading channel reaches less than 10-3, meaning that the systems can communicate properly. When designing the hardware, RAM was used instead of shift-register, multiplexing of multiplier and accumulator, and formula simplification to reduce the area of the circuit. The results dedicate that this design decreases the use of FF resources by 75% and LUTs resources by 22%.关键词
