A Comparison of Similarities between Li Li from Vietnam Spring and Autumn and Liu Bei from The Legends of the Three Kingdoms
摘要
Abstract
Vietnam Spring and Autumn is a Vietnamese historical novel written in Chinese influenced by The leg- ends of the Three Kingdoms. There are many similarities in styles of writing between them. The main figure of Vi- etnam Spring and Autumn LI Li was just like LIU Bei, devoting to righteousness and mercy, being successful af- ter great suffering. Though many of their subordinates wished them to declare to be emperor, they kept refusing. In both novels, they were modest and wise, practised what they preach, and willed to listen to others＇ advice. When they finally declared to be an emperor, they did not seek power, but tried to practise a greater dream.关键词
