On Wei Sanhu＇ s Going Back to His Hometown： A Sociological Analysis of Chen Yingsong＇ s Novel Deep Night
摘要
Abstract
In his novel Deep Night Chen Yingsong pays close attention to farmers＇ existing circum- stances as he used to. The difference lies in the slight deviation of his present perspective. In other words, he keeps a watchful eye on the fact that farmers working in cities return home in due course of time and that they have a wish of building houses in their hometown. From Wei Sanhu＇ s sufferings and a tragic death we may find some social problems related to people＇ s living conditions. In addition, the novel Deep Night reveals the author＇ s sense of social responsibility and critical attitude.关键词
