Selective Degradation of Malachite Green Catalyzed by Moleculeimprinted Chitosan/TiO2 Photo-assisted Catalyst

摘要

Abstract

Molecule-imprinted chitosan/TiO2 catalyst was synthesized by using malachite green (MA) as template-molecules from tetra-n-butyl titanate and chitosan. Photo-catalyzed degradation of solution of MA and/or other substrates at UV light in the presence of the MA-imprinted chitosan/TiO2 catalyst was studied and compared with the corresponding non-imprinted systems,and the structure of catalysts was characterized by XRD and FTIR methods. The experimental results indicated that over the MA-imprinted chi-tosan/TiO2 catalyst,the rate of photo-catalyzed degradation of target-substrate molecules was markedly higher than that of the non-imprinted (popular type) chitosan/TiO2 catalyst(with a 69% increment of k) .and the imprinted catalyst exhibited a selective catalytic activity for the photo-catalyzed degradation of target-substrate molecules. When degrading non-target-substrate molecules, the MA-imprinted chitosan/TiO2 catalyst exhibited a similar activity with the non-imprinted catalyst.
