Experimental Conditions of X-ray Powder Diffraction for Sepiolite Measurement

Abstract
Based on the studies of components and contents of sepiolite, homogeneous test, stability and particle size distribution characteristic, the experimental conditions of X-ray Powder Diffractometer were optimized for the determination of sepiolite. A series of sepiolite standard materials were prepared using pure sepiolite, corundum and fluorite minerals. The 3 different contents of sepiolites, sorted low, middle and high, were measured by solid counter and intensity count technology with an internal standard. The experimental results show that the quantitative measured data of sepiolite samples met the requirements of the industry standard. The measuring method and conditions met the requirements of clay mining enterprises and associated labs. The X-ray powder diffraction method achieved the goal of quantitative mineral components analysis for sepiolite.关键词
