Abstract

The stress corrosion cracking (SCC) sensitivity of 13MnNiMoR weld joints,heat -treated and unheat - treated, in boiler water with varied pH value under the temperature of 250 t were discussed through slow stress rate testing. The result shows that post weld heat treatment caused great discrepancy in SCC sensitivity of the joints under the same temperature and same strain rate. The SCC sensitivity of heat - treated joint decreases as the pH value of water increases, while the SCC sensitivity of unheat - treated joint increases. The result indicate that reasonable post heat treatment can reduce the SCC sensitivity of weld joint obviously.
