Abstract
Objective To analyze and summarize the clinical results of biotype and bone cement-type total hip arthroplasty in elderly patients with osteoporosis. Methods From March 2002 to April 2008, for 94 patients with hip fracture caused by severe osteoporosis, according to type of fracture and bone mineral density(BMD) measurement results, biotype or bone cement-type total hip arthroplasty was selected. Patients were followed up, the hip function, pain, motion range were determined, and also the hip imaging was studied. Harris score was used to evaluate the therapeutic effects of different fixation. Results All the elderly patients with femoral fractures or intertrochanteric fractures who underwent total hip arthroplasty were followed up, and the therapeutic effects were different between the biotype and bone cement-type total hip arthroplasty with a significant difference (P<0.01). Conclusion For total hip arthroplasty to the elderly patients with osteoporosis, the curative effect of bone cement-type is better than that of biotype.[Chinese Medical Equipment Journal, 2011,33(3) :72-73]关键词
