Synthesis and application of a fixing agent applied to acid dyes

Abstract
A fixing agent SBNF with sulfonic group for acid dyes was synthesized using bisphenol A, 2-naphthol, formaldehyde as the main raw materials. The influences of reactant mass ration, reaction time and temperature, the dosage of fixing agent, fixing time, pH of fixing solution on the fixation effect were discussed. The synthesis process and application technology were optimized and the optimum synthetic process was as follows: mfsulfonation intermediate Ⅰ ):m(sulfonation intermediate Ⅱ):m(formaldehyde)=2.0 :1.0:1.0, reacted at 100 ℃ for 6 h; and the optimal application technology was: 2.5% (owf) of SBNF fixing agent, 10% (owf) of formaldehyde scavenger, pH=3.0, fixed acid dyed polyamide fabric at 80 ℃ for 30 min. The fixed fabric had fairly good color fastness, such as 3~4-level to wet rubbing, 4-level to dry rubbing and 4-level to soaping.关键词
