番石榴叶总三萜对2型糖尿病大鼠的降血糖和血脂作用
Hypolipemic and hypoglycemic effects of total triterpenoids from Psidium guajava leaves on type 2 diabetic rats
摘要
Abstract
AIM; To invesligale the effecls of Lolal Lrilerpenoids from Psidium guajava leaves (TTPGL) on blood glucose and lipids in Lype 2 diabelic rals. METHODS; The diabelic rals were induced by inlraperiloneal injeclion of slrepLozolocin al dose of 35 mg/kg and feeding wilh high - fal diel. The animals were divided inlo 5 groups; diabelic model conlrol group (model) , TTPGL Irealmenl groups (wilh the doses of 60, 120 and 240 mg/kg, respectively) and rosiglila-zone Irealmenl group (3 mg/kg). Anolher 12 normal SD rals were used as the normal controls. The rals received daily Irealmenl for 6 weeks, and then the levels of fasling blood glucose (FBG) , fasling insulin (FINS) , Iriglyceride (TG) , lo-lal cholesterol (TCH) , free fally acid (FFA) , glycosylaled hemoglobin ( GHb) and glycosylaled serum proleins ( GSP) were measured. The prolein expression of peroxisome proliferalor - aclivaled receplor γ (PPARγ) in adipose lissues wasdelecled by Weslern blolLing. RESULTS; Compared with normal conlrol group, the levels of FBG, GHb and blood lipids were increased in Lype 2 diabelic rals. The FINS, insulin sensilivily index, and the prolein expression of PPAR-y in adipose lissues were decreased. Compared with model group, the levels of FBG and GSP were decreased, and the FINS, insulin sensilivily index, and the prolein expression of PPARγ in adipose lissues significantly increased in TTPGL trealmenl groups (with the doses of 120 and 240 mg/kg). The levels of serum TG,TCH and FFA were significantly lower in TTPGL trealmenl groups (P<0. 01 or P< 0.05) as compared with the model controls. CONCLUSION; TTPGL decreases the levels of blood glucose and lipids in diabelic rals. TTPGL also increases serum insulin level and improves insulin sensilivily. The aclion mechanism of TTPGL may be relaled to the increase in the prolein expression of PPARγ.关键词
